Orthopedic Appliance: moves jaw bones and muscles ( also known as dentofacial orthopedics ) into position, helps permanent teeth grow into the best bite and develops jaws to proper alignment. These types of appliances usually are used with young patients who are still growing.

         Expander: widens a too small jaw to make room for permanent teeth erupting or to correct crossbite

         Functional Appliance: helps to train the muscles and guides growing jaws to bite right position

         Face Mask (Reverse-Pull Headgear): is attached to braces and pushes against the forehead and chin to pull the upper jaw and        teeth forward

Orthodontic Appliance

  • Retainer: holds teeth in their corrected positions after your braces are removed
  • Positioner: is prescribed to finish moving the teeth
  • Hawley Appliance: uses wires to put pressure on the teeth.

Habit Corrector: helps stop thumb or fingers sucking, tongue thrust during swallowing.
